Chennai, Jun 11 (UNI) Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunandhi today flayed those who make a 'hue and cry' over law and order, following the seizure of decades old ammunition and catridges from a scrap metal godown in north Chennai.
In a poem, Mr Karunanidhi regretted that instead of appreciating the police when they prevent a dacoity or seize ammunition, these people make a hue and cry that law and order has been deteriorated in the state.
Without mentioning her by name, Mr Karunanidhi hit out at opposition AIADMK leader J Jayalalithaa, for her charge that the seizure of ammunition showed that Tamil Nadu has become an arms godown.
When police nabbed some dreaded criminals, these people, instead of praising them, criticise the government, he said, dimissing their charge as blabbering.
These people talk ill of law and order as if they were the patriots, when the media carried reports about the seizure of corroded catridges, he said adding this was the political culture in the state.
