HRTC mops up additional Rs 15 crore in five months
Shimla, June 11 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) has mopped up an additional sum of Rs 15 crore during the first five months of this year, corporation's Managing Director T C Janartha today said.
Addressing a review meeting of HRTC here, he said the corporation has earned an additional sum of Rs 15 crore from January to May this year.
Mr Janartha said the process of computerisation of the corporation was being expedited to bring about more efficiency in its functioning and facilitate the passengers.
Booking of seats in its buses would be computerised at all the major bus stands of the state, he added.
He said the corporation has also decided to introduce new buses on long routes for the convenience of the passengers, besides rationalisation of staff was also underway to gear up its functioning.
Divisional managers and senior corporation employees also attended the meeting.
