Eesha, Nisha, Mary emerge joint leaders

Kozhikode, June 11 (UNI) Eesha Karvade of Maharashtra, Nisha Mohota of the Petroleum Sports Promotion Board (PSPB) and Mary Ann Gomes of West Bengal emerged joint leaders with 6.5 points each at the end of the 8th round of the 35th National Women 'B' Chess Championship here today.

Half point behind them were Aarthi Ramaswami (TN), Swati Ghate (LIC), Nadig Kruttika (Mah), Preeti R (TN), Mohanapriya (TN), Bhakti Kulkarni (Goa) and Alka Das (Jhar).

Important results: Eesha Karvade 6.5 (Mah) drew with Aarti Ramaswami 6 (TN), Nisha Mohota 6.5 (PSPB) bt Nimmy A G 5.5 (Ker), Swati Ghate 6 (LIC) drew with Nadig Kruttika 6 (Mah), Pon N.

Krithika 5.5 (TN) lost to Mary Ann Gomes 6.5 (WB), Jiji A 5.5 (Ker) lost to Preethi R 6 (TN), Sai Meera 5 (TN) lost to Mohanapriya 6 (TN), Sitha Latchumi 5 (TN) lost to Bhakti Kulkarni 6 (Goa), Alka Das 6 (Jhar) bt Anuprita Patil 5 (Mah), Padmini Rout 5.5 (Ori) bt Bharati R 4.5 (TN), Amruta Mokal 5 (Mah) drew with Roy Pallavi 5 (WB).
