Congress to launch agitation against Modi government
Ahmedabad, Jun 11 (UNI) Gujarat Congress has chalked out an agitation plan against the ''misdeeds'' of the BJP government in the state.
Lashing out at the present BJP government of Gujarat, Congress today said intolerant forces are getting stronger in Gujarat, and there is sense of anarchy. The social fabric of secularism is getting weakened by communal forces, which are instigating communal passions for petty political gains.
Releasing its ''Dwarika Declaration'', which sums up deliberations held at Congress review camp at the pilgrim town of Dwarika, State Congress Chief Bharatsinh Solanki said that Congress is the only party which can keep united, the people of various communities.
'Congress clearly believes that development is not possible without social harmony, divided India can never be prosperous and never make progress in the the true sense', Mr Solanki said.
''Present BJP government of Gujarat is defying values of Gandhi.
Democratic values are getting eroded. Economic decisions are taken, and beneficiaries are only industrialists and the rich', he said.
