Jammu, Jun 11 (UNI) Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and National Conference (NC) patron Farooq Abdullah today observed that restoration of autonomy in the state would only be a viable and sustainable solution to the Kashmir imbroglio.
''The roadmap prepared by NC for resolution of Kashmir mess is the most feasible and perfect in all respects...the entire world is now considering the autonomy as the only solution to solve the issue,'' Dr Abdullah said addressing a gathering at Doda.
''I am confident that there cannot be any another feasible solution to the Kashmir issue than restoration of autonomy,'' the NC patron said, adding ''the Government of India has to accept our demand and give people what is best for them.'' Dr Abdullah alleged some political parties with vested interests want to see Kashmir boiling and they are resorting to unfair tactics by exploiting the people of the state against autonomy.
''Indo-Pak relations need to be improved further in order to have lasting peace and tranquility in the sub-continent and both the countries should work for creating an atmosphere of understanding and confidence among each other for a long lasting peace,'' he noted.
