Anticipatory bail granted to TNBA chief
Chennai, Jun 11 (UNI) Madras High Court today granted anticipatory bail to Tamil Nadu Basketball Association President and retired IAS officer A N Dyaneswaran, his son Suganeswaran and two of his friends.
Mr Justice R Regupathy granted the anticipatory bail on a petition filed by them, apprehending arrest in connection with an assault case, involving an expelled office bearer of the Association.
Granting the relief, the Judge directed the petitioners to appear before the police station concerned for three days after obtaining the anticipatory bail by giving sureties for Rs 10,000.
Government Pleader told the court that there was no case against Mr Sendureswaran, another son of Mr Dyaneswaran. Those given anticipatory bail included Mr Rajesh and Mr Prabakar, friends of Suganeswaran.
Mr Dyaneswaran and others apprehended arrest after the city police registered a complaint by one Mr Selvaraj, expelled office bearer of the Association, that he was assaulted by them when he went to the office.
