16 Indian boys to take soccer training at Arsenal

Kolkata, Jan 11 (UNI) Kolkata took the lion's share in the final selection of 16 boys in the age group of 10-15 to undergo soccer training at Arsenal in the United Kingdom shortly.

As the two-week training session of Tata Tea Arsenal soccer stars ended today under the supervision from Paul Shipwright and Martin Davis, the coaches from Arsenal FC, six local boys, shortlisted among the final 16 from 30 boys from different parts of the country, assembled here for selection for training in the UK.

Besdies Kolkata, three boys from Bangalore, two each from Delhi, Goa and Mumbai and one from Shillong were selected for training at Arsenal International Soccer Festival in London in July end.

Goalkeeper- Avijit De (Bangalore) and Arindam Mitra (Kol), Defence: S Kiran Kumar( Bangalore), Shane Anthony Temodo (Goa), Sumit Das (Kol), and Rickin Dang (Mumbai), Midfield: Mario Bacchus Lobo (Goa), Daniel Lalhrwaitlwanga (Delhi), Jitu Das (Kol), Siddharth Singh (Mum), Yan Cheng Law (Kol), and Mojaffar Ali (Kol), Forward: Ajay Gujral(New Delhi), R Deepak (Bangalore), Jessammy Clivenson Tariang (Shillong) and Karim Mistry (Kol).
