Mumbai, Jun 10 (UNI) Select metals in ferrous category today fell on lack of demand by stockists along with bearish advice from London Metal Exchange (LME), traders at the Bombay Metal Exchange (BME) said.
Prices of brass utensils and brass cuttings declined by Rs 100 per quintal each owing to sluggish demand by stockists.
Rest, copper heavy, copper utensils and aluminium utensils remained flat on scattered buying by stockists In the non-ferrous metals category, except tin slab all metals remained steady on moderate demand by stockists.
Tin slab was up by Rs 40 per kg because of increase in fresh demand, traders added.
Following are the spot metal prices per quintal: Ferrous metals: copper heavy - Rs 37,400, copper utensils - Rs 33,200, brass utensils - Rs 25,100, brass cuttings - Rs 26,400 and aluminium utensils - Rs 11,200.
Non-ferrous metals: copper wire bars - Rs 40,800, aluminium ingots - Rs 14,600, zinc slab - Rs 10,600, lead ingots - Rs 11,000, tin slab - Rs 1,160 per kg and nickel cathode - Rs 1,580 per kg.
