New Delhi, Jun 10 (UNI) Expressing concern over Prime Minister Manmohan Singh voicing his apprehensions that the nuclear weapons may find their way into Jehadi hands, the BJP today asked the PM to take all possible stern measures taking the Opposition into confidence.
The PM has spoken of nuclear weapons getting into the dangerous hands. A few months ago, PM's National Security Advisor M K Narayanan too had voiced similar view in Munich. "The BJP wants Dr Singh to share the information if his statements were reliable and with some basis", BJP spokesman Ravishankar Prasad told newspersons.
If PM's fears were based on facts, than he should take the Opposition, particularly the BJP, into confidence for taking strong and tough measures in the national interest.
He said it was important that the political leadership of the country the sent right kind of message to the anti-India forces that the nation's interest could not be taken for granted. "The BJP will extend all support to the Government if there was any need to take strong legislative measure to overcome the terrorist challenge." Answering questions about the Rajasthan Government's handling of the Gujjar issue, Mr Prasad said the BJP was happy that the dialogue process had started and that was the only way to find a solution in a democracy.
