NRI woman found dead in Chandigarh home

Chandigarh, Jun 10 (UNI) A 33-year-old NRI woman was found dead under mysterious circumstances in her Sector 20 residence here, police today said.

According to SHO Sukhdev Singh Bhullar, Rosy Sharma's husband Pradeep Kumar told police that he found his wife lying unconscious when he returned home last evening.

Pradeep immediately called up his father-in-law, Surjeet Raj who live in a nearby sector and the two rushed Rosy to the PGI, where doctors declared her brought dead.

Rosy, an Australia-based NRI, was living with her husband and two children in Sector 20 since 2004.

Mr Bhullar said police was looking into the case but so far neither the family members nor other persons known to the deceased were able to point out any reason for the woman's sudden demise.

The police was now waiting for the postmortem report to find out the cause of her death.
