Meeting of Congress coordination committee-Mah Govt held
Mumbai, Jun 10 (UNI) A meeting of the Congress party coordination committee and Maharashtra chief minister Vilasrao Deshmukh was held here today, in which various issues relating to state's development and farmer's package were discussed.
The meeting was attended by MPCC president Prabha Rau, AICC general secretary Margaret Alva, Gurudas Kamat and others.
Ms Alva expressed satisfaction over the implementation of package for beleagured farmers in Vidarbha and also gave some recommendations for the ongoing works on the Mithi river project.
She expressed satisfaction over the project of providing houses at Rs four lakh to the displaced families.
Meanwhile, the government has completed 870 houses of 180 sq ft, costing Rs four lakh, and will soon take up the work of constructing 26,000 houses, out of which 16,000 will be for textile mill workers.
