MDMK agitates against petro price hike
Chennai, June 10 (UNI) The MDMK, an ally of the main Opposition AIADMK, today staged a demonstration across Tamil Nadu, condemning the hike in the prices of petrol, diesel and cooking gas.
Police sources said more than 400 MDMK workers participated in the agitation, led by party general secretary Vaiko, here.
A Tiruchirapalli report said the protestors, led by party Deputy general secretary Nazareth Durai, urged the Union Government to immediately roll back the hike.
In Madurai, the party cadres, led by party State Deputy General Secretary V Mallai Sathya, raised 'anti-Congress and anti-DMK' slogans.
