Four new Inspector Generals in Kashmir

Srinagar, June 10 : Director General of Police Kuldeep Khoda pinned up ranks on four newly promoted Inspectors General of Police at a function at Srinagar Police headquarters today.

The State Government had ordered the promotion of four DIGs, namely Farooq Ahmed, Dr. B. Srinivas, Ravinder Kotwal and M. A. Anjum to the rank of Inspectors General.

The ceremony was attended by IGP personnel, Ram Lubaya, IGP Modernisation Z. H. Chasti, IGP Kashmir S. M. Sahai and other senior police officers.

Director General of Police, Kuldeep Khuda, also issued promotional order of seventeen Sub-Inspectors of Jammu and Kashmir Armed Police to the rank of Inspectors and seven Assistant Sub-Inspectors of Jammu and Kashmir Executive Police as Sub-Inspectors.

The Sub Inspectors promoted as Inspectors are Vijay Singh, Neeraj Sharma, Vinod Kumar, Manjeet Singh, Gulzar Ahmad, Rakesh Jamwal, Kirpal Sing, Satay Kam Sharma, Om Prakash, Mushtaq Ahmad, Riyaz Ahmad, Ghulam Hassan, Mohammad Rafi, Malik Zada Idrees, Dharminder Kumar, Abdul Nafi and Pervaiz Ahmad.

The Assistant Sub Inspectors promoted as Sub Inspectors include Abdul Gani, Abdul Rashid, Preetam Singh, Mumtaz Ali, Mehmood Ahmad, Mohammad Aziz and Ishfaq Ahmad.
