Adidas Youth Football Leagues comes to city

Bangalore, Jun 10 (UNI) After its successful launch in Goa, Youth Football Organisation (YFO) today announced commencement of Adidas Youth Football league (AYFL) in Bangalore.

The league, to be taken part by teams from City Schools in the age Group of Under-7 to Under-15, would begin in September and later vie for honours in the 'Adidas Cup' tournament in the second phase to be held in January next.

Briefing reporters on the league, YFO President Elvis Goes said the league was about building passion, creativity and having fun playing football in an organised youth league.

The programme was designed on the same principles of the American Youth Soccer Organisation to bring about passion for sports and at the same time focus on youth development components, he said.

YFO would bring about virtual integration by providing the a comprehensive training material and a coach manual that would help implement a consistent coaching method. This in turn would help the children when they grow into top class footballers, he added.
