New Delhi, Jun 9 (UNI) Two days after a servant poisoned a family of four in Noida, near here, a 58-year-old businessman was killed allegedly by his domestic help in the Farsh Bazar area of east Delhi early today.

Anil Sharma was found strangled with his hands and feet tied by his mother Indira Sharma (74) at their Shalimar Park residence at about 0130 hrs, according to police.

Mother and son were at home, along with their help Shankar Thapa, when the incident occurred. Others in the house had gone to Allahabad to attend a religious function.

At about 0130 hrs, when Indira Sharma woke up to answer nature's call she found the lights on at the first floor room of her son Anil.

Assuming that her grandsons were back from Allahabad, she went to see them where she found a stranger standing.

On being asked, he said he had come from the first floor, where Thapa lived.

She then saw Thapa carrying two buckets full of belongings coming from the first floor. Later, both Thapa and his 'friend' went out of the house.

Indira then went to the first floor and found her son Anil dead with his hands and feet tied in the room.

The room of Anil Sharma, who ran an electrical equipment shop from his residence, had been ransacked.

Police were informed at about 0230 hrs.

Shankar Thapa had been working with the Sharmas' for the past one year but no servant verification of him had been done, police added.
