Three women killed, 24 others injured as bus skids

Mumbai, Jun 9 (UNI) Three women were killed and 24 injured when their bus skidded and overturned near Godrej company, off the Eastern express highway, early today.

Police said at least 27 people were returning from Shirdi in a private bus. At around 0451 hrs, their bus skidded and turned turtle near Godrej company. Three women died on the spot while others sustained injuries.

The women were identified as Deepali Gurav (26), Usha Shankar Gurav (55) and Manali Padgaonkar (34).

Of the 24 injured, 11 were admitted to Sion Hospital, while the remaining were rushed to Rajawadi Hospital, sources added.
