TDP chief rules out alliance with TRS
Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, Jun 9 (UNI) Telugu Desam Party (TDP) President N Chandrababu Naidu today ruled out the possibility of forging an alliance with the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) in the near future.
Replying to queries from newspersons at Amalapuram town here, Mr Naidu alleged that the TRS had an ''uholy alliance'' with the Congress in the last Assembly elections and both of them had conveniently ''cheated'' the people assuring them of a separate Telangana state.
Asked about the TDP's stance on Telangana, he maintained that a special committee, constituted by the party, would decide on the issue.
However, Mr Naidu said there was no time limit for the committee to submit its report.
Reiterating his assurances given to the people during the recent 'Meekosam' tour, the party president said all of them would be implemented without any difficulty. ''The tax revenue and the state annual budget have gone up. All my promises will be implemented within the available resources,'' he claimed.
