Dubai, Jun 9 (UNI) Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar has retained his 14th spot among batsmen while Team India captain Anil Kumble was at the eighth position in the bowlers list of the latest ICC Test rankings issued today.
Tendulkar is leading five Indians in the top-20 with 704 points.
He is followed by Rahul Dravid (15th), Virender Sehwag (17th), Sourav Ganguly (18th) and V V S Laxman (19th).
The batting rankings are still headed by two Australians, Michael Hussey in first place and his captain Ricky Ponting, in second.
Sri Lanka's Kumar Sangakkara is close behind in third with Mohammad Yousuf of Pakistan in fourth and South Africa's Jacques Kallis at sixth spot.
Shivnarine Chanderpaul, who won the man-of-the-match award in the second Test against Australia in Antigua, is at the fifth position.
In the bowling charts, there are only three Indians in the top 20 with Kumble at eighth spot with 708 points in his kitty. Zaheer Khan and off-spinner Harbhajan Singh stayed put at the 15th and 19th spots respectively with 619 and 608 points each.
Sri Lankan off-spinner Muttiah Muralitharan is at the pole position with 897 points. He is closely followed by South African fast bowler Dale Steyn (892 pts) while Australian pacers Stuart Clark and Brett Lee are at third and fourth respectively.
South African pace spearhead Makhaya Ntini completes the top five.
