Minister reviews functioning of APSFC

Hyderabad, Jun 9 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Major Industries Minister J Geeta Reddy today said the Andhra Pradesh State Finance Corporation (APSFC) had distributed Rs 663 crore worth loans to industrialists from the Rs 1,006 crore sanctioned.

Talking to newspersons here after reviewing the functioning of APSFC and the progress made under Tribal Sub Plan and Special Component Plan, Ms Reddy said out of the 90 industrial plots, 77 were allotted to entrepreneurs from SC community and 13 to entrepreneurs from ST community, during this year.

Stating that the APSFC had earned Rs 60 crore profit in the current financial year, she said a workshop of SC and ST entrepreneurs would be conducted in every district to encourage people from these communities to take up entrepreneurship.

The Minister said Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy had directed the corporation to provide training to at least 5,000 budding entrepreneurs from SC community this year as part of the industrial promotion policy.
