Bangalore, Jun 9 (UNI) The Karnataka Government will recruit 6,000 Teachers to High Schools by this month end, Minister for Primary and Secondary Education Vishweshwara Hegde Kageri said today.
Talking to newspersons after holding a review meeting of his department, he said the recruitment would include 500 Physically Handicapped. The roster system would be followed in the recruitment.
The Minister said the government will ensure five per cent reservation for physically handicapped during recruitment.
On shortage of text books, Mr Kageri clarified the shortage of text books existed only in unaided schools and not in government-run and aided schools.
Steps would be taken to supply 1.35 crore copies of text books to unaided schools before June 28.
He said about 1,100 schools which have not followed State Language Policy, Mr Kageri said strict action will be initiated against these institutions while keeping in the mind the interests of the students.
