K'taka Govt to recruit 6000 teachers by this month end: Minister
Bangalore, June 9 (UNI) The Karnataka Government will recruit 6000 Teachers to High Schools by this month end, Minister for Primary and Secondary Education Vishweshwara Hegde Kageri said today.
Talking to newspersons after holding a review of his department, he said that the recruitment includes 500 belonging to Physically Handicapped.
He said that Roaster system would be followed in the recruitment.
The Minister said that the government will ensure five per cent reservation for physically handicapped while recruiting.
Referring to shortage of text books, Mr Kageri clarified that the shortage of text books exist only in unaided schools and not in Government run and aided schools. Steps would be taken to supply 1.35 crore sale copies of text books to unaided schools before June 28. There is no shortage in the Government and aided schools.
He said that about 1100 schools which have not followed State Language Policy, Mr Kageri said that strict action will be initiated against these institutions while keeping in the mind the interests of the students.
