Bangalore, Jun 9 (UNI) Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddydurappa today appealed to the farmers not to panic over the shortage of fertilisers, as the state government was committed to ensure adequate supply.
Speaking to newspersons here, he said the state government had taken effective measures to meet the demand of fertilisers for farm activities, and appealed to farmers not to panic over it.
Referring to farmers agitation over the issue in different parts of the state, Mr Yeddyurappa said the government was aware of the problem being faced by them and had taken up the matter with the Centre to ensure proper and adequate supply of fertiliser to the state.
The Chief Minister appealed to the Opposition not to 'politicise' the shortage of fertilizer issue.
