Raipur, June 9 (UNI) In a bid to counter Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh's 'Vikas Yatra' progressing on road, Congress MP and former state Chief Minister Ajit Jogi would start visiting places in helicopter from tomorrow.
Sources close to Mr Jogi told UNI here that he would start his visits from Sarguja district.
He would address first public meeting at Ramanujganj during noon and at Shankargadh at 1500 hours. He would take rest in Ambikapur where he would meet party workers and discuss about upcoming state assembly elections.
Mr Jogi would visit areas under the influence of BJP leader Dilip Singh Judeo on June 11. He would address public meetings at Jashpur and Kunkuri and would return to Raipur later.
Sources said Mr Jogi decided to visit these places after some legislators urged him to do so in view of Dr Singh's 'Vikas Yatra'.
Party workers have rented a helicopter for Mr Jogi, who is a star campaigner of the Congress but cannot undertake his yatra on foot due to health reasons.
Initially, the yatra has been planned for two days but Mr Jogi wants to visit as many places in the next 2-3 months to compensate for the time lost in campaigning for changing state Congress President.
