Indian Oil, Rizvi Builders face-to-face in final clash

Lucknow, June 9 (UNI) Indian Oil and Rizvi Builders will take on each other for the final slot of the 56th Sahara City Homes Sheesh Mahal cricket championship on June 11 here.

Both the teams entered into the finals of the tournament for the first time in the history of the Sheesh Mahal cricket tournament.

Tomorrow is the rest day.

In the semi-finals played today, Indian Oil beat ONGC by 44 runs at the K D Singh Babu stadium, while at the Chowk stadium in a nerve breaking encounter Rizvi Builders got past through Air India by a narrow margin of 4 runs.

At the K D Singh Babu stadium the Indian Oil team amassed 273/3 in their innings with the help of fine unbeaten century by Cheteshwar Pujara (109), well compiled hard hit half centuries by Ravikant Shukla (61) and Skipper Atiya Tare (51), later Tare took six catches also in the rival innings.

Pujara in his century took the help of 8 fours and 3 sixes facing 119 deliveries, he along with Shukla and Tare gave 123 and 95 runs partnership for the third and fourth wickets respectively.

Though ONGC start in fashion hitting the ball at the rate of 10 runs per over in the intial stage, but the combination of Medium pacer Anand Rajan (3/45) and Leg spin attack of Abhishek Raut (4/44) shattered ONGC's hope, barring Radhey Shyam (60) and skipper Rizwan Shamshad (73) none of the other batsmen resisted the opposition attack with ease and were all out for 229 runs, lossing the match by 44 runs.

Winner's skipper Aditya Tare with 51 runs and six catches was later declared as the man of the match.
