Extended PCC meet to propagate UPA, Cong Govt's achievements
Hyderabad, Jun 9 (UNI) The extended Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) meeting will be held here tomorrow to prepare the party functionaries for the next Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in the State.
APCC President D Srinivas told reporters that the meet to be attended by, among others, All India Congress Committee AP in-charge M Veerappa Moily, would apprise the party functionaries on the ''achievements'' of the UPA Government at the Centre and the Congress Government in the State.
The partymen would be asked to carry on the message that it was because of the efforts of Congress President and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi that farmers were being provided loan waiver, he said, adding that 84 lakh farmers in the State would get a benefit of Rs 1,300 crore.
Village-wise details of farmers would be provided to the party functionaries to ensure that all the farmers got the benefit.
After a meeting with District Congress Presidents and heads of the party in various cities, he said ''non-functioning'' heads would be shortly changed by the party high command based on his report. The party was suffering from lack of coordination in some district units, he added.
