Delhi golfers Aditya and Kapil leave for Europe

New Delhi, Jun 9 (UNI) Aditya Singh and Kapil Kumar will represent the National Capital Region (NCR) at the Swiss Amateur Golf Championship to be held at the prestigious Crans Sur Sierre GC outside Geneva from June 12 to 15.

The two youngsters from the Delhi Golf Club qualified for the tournament after finishing second and third respectively at the NCR Cup and Delhi State Championship in October last year.

''This is the first time that two Indian boys have received an invitation to this prestigious championship and it is being played at The Crans golf club which hosts the prestigious European PGA Tour's European Masters event every year,'' Delhi Golf Society president Prakash Bhandari said.

Raashid Khan, the winner of the NCR Cup and Delhi State Championship, who had originally qualified for the event, is unable to participate due to other national commitments in Japan.
