Congress appoints observer to probe minister's son case
Bhopal, Jun 9 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Congress President Suresh Pachouri has appointed former MLA Vrindavan Ahirwar as observer to probe an incident in which the son of Minister of State for Home allegedly manhandled and misbehaved with a police personnel.
In a statement released here today, Mr Pachouri directed Mr Ahirwar to investigate the case and submit the report soon.
Minister of State for Home Ramdayal Ahirwar's son Lakshmi with his friends barged into the home of in-charge of Chhatarpur district's Maharajpur police station and roughed him up on June 7.
Meanwhile, the main gate of his residence was broken down and vehicles were also damaged.
The accused fled away when the police personnel took out his revolver.
Similarly, Congress has also appointed state Congress Vice President Rameshwar Neekhra and Itarasi Municipal Corporation Vice President Ramesh Bamne as observers to probe a Harda district's case in which a Dalit woman was burned alive by three people of upper caste.
The incident took place when the woman tried to fetch water from a handpump in Kamtada village.
