BSP MP produced in court in murder case
Jaunpur, June 9 (UNI) Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) MP Umakant Yadav was today brought to a local court from Fatehgarh Central Jail amid tight security in a murder case.
District Judge Shivanand Mishra had summoned the plaintiff in the case and fixed the next hearing on June 19.
On August 24, 2007, gram pradhan Shyam Kanhiya Yadav was shot dead at Japtapur village in the Sarakhvaja area.
An FIR was lodged against five people, including Machlishehr MP Umakant Yadav.
However, at the time of murder, the BSP MP was in Azamgarh district jail under Gangster Act.
