BSNL pacts with DigiBee Mobile; unveils handsets
New Delhi, June 9 (UNI) BSNL, the country's largest intergrated telecom service provider, today introduced a slew of handsets under the mobile bundling offer starting at a price of Rs 1,458.
The handsets from Hyderabad-based DigiBee Mobile are pre-loaded with secret SMS, call blacklist, polyphonic ringtones, built-in games, FM radio.
DigiBee is offering three models in this scheme -- G-200 in monochrome, G-200C in basic colour and G-200CF in basic colour with FM radio to GSM pre-paid and post-paid customers at the prices varying from Rs 1,000 to Rs 1,600.
''This association with DigiBee will be instrumental in taking the Indian handset industry to greater heights. Indeed, it's a portent of 'technology ahead' India,'' BSNL CMD Kuldeep Goel told reporters here.
BSNL is providing a total free talktime of Rs 1,500 spread over 15 months at a rate of Rs 100 per month on a minimum recharge of Rs 100 per month.
DigiBee CMD Suresh Dholakia said his company is the country's first one to develop mobile handsets, the softwares and chipsets.
It has set up a pan-India service centres which provide much needed after sales services and support to the customers.
