APL increases modified starch capacity, to focus on exports
Ahmedabad, June 9 (UNI) Anil Products Limited (APL), one of India's largest corn wet millers and leading manufacturers of Starch, today announced their plans to expand the manufacturing capacity for modified starch.
APL is targeting modified starch exports of Rs 50 crore in 2009-2010.
The Company will invest between 10 crore to 12 crore over the next two years for the capacity expansion. The capacity expansion will support APL's export thrust and also help meet growing demand for modified starch in the Indian market, a Company release said here.
''The demand for modified starch is growing across customer segments in India and Export markets in Food, Paper and Textile industry. With more capacity for modified starch coming on stream, APL will be well positioned to capitalize on and monetize the emerging opportunities,'' APL Managing Director Amol Sheth said.
