Amy Winehouse's father confirms her extramarital fling

Washington, Jul 9 : English singer songwriter Amy Winehouse's father confirmed that his daughter had an affair while her husband Blake Fielder-Civil was in jail.

There were rumours that Winehouse had fallen for her manager's former assistant, Alex Haines, which caused speculation about her marriage being in trouble.

Winehouse has since denied that there was anything going on or that she was leaving her husband Fielder-Civil for another man, Haines was subsequently sacked from his role at her management agency.

But according to Mitch Winehouse, he revealed that Amy had been romantically involved with Haines and that he was very devastated by the revelation.

"Amy told Blake she had a little fling with Alex but never slept with him - whatever that meant," Contactmusic quoted him as telling British newspaper The People.

"She was in a bad state that day. I really lost it and shouted at her that she had to sort herself out.

"She seemed stunned I was so upset. I think it was the first time it hit home how her behaviour has affected the family," he added.
