Nepal parties reach consensus on forming government
Kathmandu, June 8 : The Communist Party of Nepal Maoist CPN (Maoist), Nepali Congress and the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist-Leninist) CPN (UML) today reached a consensus to form a six member team on formation of government in the Himalayan nation.
The decision was taken after a meeting of the top leaders at the residence of the Maoist Chairman Prachanda in Kathmandu this morning. Nepali Congress General Secretary Bimalendu Nidhi said that a consensus on constitutional amendment and peace process would soon be arrived at. The Maoists have agreed to the proposal for constitution amendment providing a simple majority to form or dismiss a government, he added.
