Karwar records 10 cm rainfall
Bangalore, June 8 (UNI) Following is a Summary of observations recorded by weather office here at 0830 hours today.
Monsoon was active over Coastal Karnataka.
Rainfall occurred many places over South Interior Karnataka and at a few places over North Interior Karnataka.
Heavy amounts of rainfall (cm): Karwar 10, Mulki, Kota, Karkala, Ankola, Agumbe 7 each.
Other chief amounts of rainfall (cm): Udupi, Joida 6 each, Mangalore, Panambur, Bajpe, Kundapur, Gerusoppa, Yellapura, Honavar 5 each, Mudibidre, Mani Subramanya, Kollur, Sirsi 4 each.
Maximum temperatures fell at a few places and were normal over North Interior Karnataka.
Raichur recorded the highest maximum temperature of 38.4 degree celsius over the State.
Forecast valid until Tuesday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at most places over Coastal Karnataka and at many places over Interior Karnataka.

Heavy Rainfall Warning:Heavy rain may occur at a few places with isolated very heavy falls over Coastal Karnataka during next 24 hours.
Heavy rain may also occur at isolated placed over ghat areas of South Interior Karnataka during the same period.
Fisheries warning: Strong on-shore winds from south-westerly direction speed occasionally reaching 45-55 kmph likely along off Karnataka coast during next 24 hours.
Local forecast: Generally cloudy sky. Surface winds will be strong and gusty at times. Occasional light rain likely.
