Hyderabad, Jun 7 (UNI) Ms Sarita Reddy today took over as Chairperson of Hyderabad chapter of FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO) while Kamini Saraf was handed over the reins of Young FLO.
At the 6th annual session and Change of Guard ceremony held here, Ms Reddy took over the charge from Ms Vani Subhas while Ms Anjum Babukhan handed over the reigns to Ms Saraf.
Eminent senior advocate Nalini Chidambaram was the guest of Honour and P Ramakanth Reddy, Chief Secretary to the Andhra Pradessh Government, was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
In a statement, Ms Sarita Reddy, who is the Executive Director of Gayatri Sugarsm, said, ''As the incoming Chairperson of FLO, my team and I would be committed to take the activities of the Hyderabad Chapter to a higher level and bring in new programmes to empower the women in their professional and entrepreneurial endeavours.'' Kamini Saraf, the incoming Young FLO Chairperson, is the Founder of Akshat Events, one of India's leading Fashion Events Company.
Ms Chidambaram said, ''I feel honoured to be present on this occasion amongst women who work towards empowerment of not just women but the community at large. It gives me pleasure to see the growing strength of women entrepreneurs in the country who are breaking tradition and overcoming long-held socio-cultural mindsets.'' Commenting on the commendable work being done by FLO, Mr P Ramakanth Reddy said, ''Promoting entrepreneurship and professional excellence in women is an important aspect for improving the society. Organisations like FLO have made substantial impact on the society with their socially-responsible works.'' The FICCI FLO Hyderabad Chapter would have Ms Ajita Yogesh as its Vice Chairperson, Jyotsna Angara as Secretary and Monika Aggarwal as Treasurer.
