Rains forecast in Northeast, Bihar, UP, Vidarbha, Kerala, Goa

Pune, Jun 7 (UNI) Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Vidarbha and south Gujarat.

Heavy to very heavy rains are likely to occur at Konkan, Goa, north and south Madhya Maharashtra, coastal Andhra Pradesh, coastal Karnataka, south interior Karnataka, Kerala, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and lakshadweep.

Heavy to very heavy rains are also likely to occur at a few places in Jharkhand, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, east Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, north Gujarat, Marathwada, Telangana, Rayalseema, north interior Karnataka, and at isolated places in Haryana, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, west Madhya Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.

In the regions where the Southwest Monsoon is yet to set in, the day temperatures were above normal in coastal Saurashtra and in some parts of Jammu and Kashmir. They were appreciably to markedly below normal in coastal Orissa, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, west and southeast Rajasthan, Gujarat, north Madhya Maharashtra and Vidarbha. They were below normal in interior Orissa and Madhya Pradesh.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Konkan and Goa. Heavy to very heavy rains have occurred in coastal Karnataka and Kerala and at many places in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Orissa, Bihar, west Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chattisgarh, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Telangana and Lakshadweep.

Heavy rains have also occurred at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, east Uttar Pradesh, east Madhya Pradesh, coastal Andhra Pradesh, north interior Karnataka, south interior Karnataka and Andaman and Nicobar Islands, and at isolated places in Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, Haryana, west Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Saurashtra, Kutch, and Tamil Nadu.
