JVM(D) to contest Assembly and Parliament polls on its own: Marandi
Dumka, Jun 7 (UNI) Former Chief Minister and Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (democratic) president Babulal Marandi today said his party would contest the Assembly and Parliament polls on its own.
Talking to UNI here, Mr Marandi said political parties in the state were full of opportunists and therefore, the JVM would go independently in the polls.
Criticising the Union government for recent price rise of petro products, Mr Marandi said it was done to facilitate a section of industrial houses.
'' It's not the first time prices of essentials have soared, it also happened during the erstwhile Congress regime, '' Mr Marandi said.
Accusing Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Finance Minister P Chidambaram for imbalance in the country's economy, Mr Marandi said both economists had failed to provide economic growth.
