Chandigarh, Jun 7 (UNI) Haryana Board of School Education has made certain amendments in the State Teachers Eligibility Test(STET) to be conducted by the Board this year.
A spokesman of the Board said here today that Education Department would not recruit anyone as Crafts and Vernacular Teachers as the Craft and Vernacular Teachers word had been removed from the list.
It had been decided in principal that instead of recruitment as Language teachers of Hindi, Punjabi and Sanskrit, recruitment would be made as Mister and Mistresses of the concerned language.
He said that in the prospectus, it had been made mandatory to have B.Ed along with Graduation in the concerned subject for the category of Master. It had also been decided in principle that along with graduation, the candidate should have studied in the concerned subject in B.Ed also.
In the case of language Master, it was necessary for the candidate to have studied in the same subject at the B.Ed level. The Degree of Shashtri would be considered valid for the post of Sanskrit Master and Mistress.
The tests would be held for Elementary Teachers on July 27, for Heads on August 3, for Masters and Mistresses on August 10 and for Lecturer on August 17.
He said that Haryana Staff Selection Commission would recruit only those candidates who fulfill all the service norms required for the selection. Only the clearance of this test would not entitle the candidate for recruitment as teachers, he added.
