GSU threatens to organise agitation
Shillong, Jun 7 (UNI) The Garo Students' Union(GSU) has threatend to stage a road blockade and Bandh in the Garo Hills district of Meghalaya if miscreants who attacked their president recently were not arrested soon.
The GSU has served a five-day deadline to the state government, appealing to arrest all miscreants who were involved in the attack on the Union's president Utzol Ch Sangma on May 8 at his residence and subsequently ransacked its office next day in Garo Hills.
Although the students body lodged a complaint with the police against 16 people in connection with the incident, no one had been arrested so far.
