Groundnut, palmolein, sunflower, soyabean oils rally

Mumbai, Jun 7 (UNI) Spot price of groundnut raw, refined palmolein, sunflower refined, cottonseed refined, rapeseed expeller and soyaben refined oils rallied for the second consecutive day today, on sustained demand from heavy bulk consumers and retailers, in view of reports of ontime good rainfall at producing centres, traders at the Bombay Commodity Exchange (BCE) said.

In oils (per ten Kg) groundnut raw, palmolein refined, sunflower refined, copra, rapeseed, cottonseed refined and soyabean rose between Rs five and Rs 15, on reduced offers from stockists, due to lesser ready stocks at the domestic markets.

Among seeds (per quintal), groundnut kernel also hardened by Rs 50 to Rs 3,600, in line with edible oils. But sesameseed, castorseed Bombay and Hyderabad varieties declined by Rs 300, Rs 45 and Rs 30, respectively, on heavy selling pressure from stockists and better stocks.

In oilcakes (per tonnes), Soyameal extraction rose by Rs 100, on renewal of good demand from shippers in view of strong global advice, traders added.
