Lucknow, Jun 7 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Director General of Police (DGP) Vikram Singh today passed directions for action against contract mafias under hard Acts like Gunda, Gangster and National Security Act (NSA).
In an instruction to all Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Superintendent of Police (SP), Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) and Inspector General of Police (IG), Mr Singh said ''of-late violent incidents are increasing over tenders.'' Often contractors and outlaws use force and pass threats to affect the casting of tenders. All this lead to violence during tender process and monetary set-back to the government, the DGP maintained.
Therefore, these criminals should be dealt strictly with Gunda Act, Ganster Act and NSA. Besides, their properties should be attached and a history sheet opened for them, the senior cop added.
