BJP braces up for Assembly polls in Delhi
New Delhi, Jun 7 (UNI) With the Delhi Assembly elections approaching, the BJP plunged into election mode, holding parleys with party workers to address organisational problems at micro level.
Party General Secretary (Organisation) Ram Lal and Delhi BJP chief Harshvardhan recently held a series of sittings with 10,300 workers that started from Karol Bagh area on May 23 and ended at Sadar district on June three.
Carrying the feedback of their leaders to voters in earnest, the workers had begun to reach out to the people at their doorstep, Dr Harshvardhan today said.
According to the Delhi BJP president, the main slogan will be ''Bhajapa Aa Rahi Hai - Congress Ja Rahi hai'', reflecting the growing confidence within the party poised to capture power.
It assumes significance in view of the string of the party's recent Assembly election victories in Karnataka, Himachal Pradesh and Bihar, coupled with the win in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi polls.
He said the party campaign would focus on price spiral, internal and external terrorism and corruption.
