Jaipur, June 7 : Gujjar Arakshan Sangarsh Samiti patron Colonel (retired) Kirori Singh Bainsla today stated that the talks would not be held in Jaipur, and made a fresh appeal to the Rajasthan government to come to Bayana for talks.

The stand off between the Rajasthan Government and the Gujjars over the venue for talks continued on Saturday also.

Earlier, the Rajasthan Government rejected the demand of Rajasthan Gujjar Arakshan Sangarsh Samiti to hold talks at Bayana, asking Bainsla to send his delegation for talks at Jaipur.

The government asked when it would be convenient for Gujjar representatives or a delegation to come to Jaipur for talks on the issue of according ST/denotified tribe status to the community and sought a reply from Bainsla at the earliest, the official said. gitating Gujjars had earlier sent a letter to the Rajasthan Government expressing their readiness to hold talks as uncertainty continued over an early end to the two-week stand off.
