SJAM 'A' beat SWAB to win A C Bali trophy for table tennis

Mumbai, Jun 6 (UNI) Sports Journalists Association of Mumbai (SJAM) 'A' won the A C Bali Trophy Table Tennis team championships final by downing Sports Writers' Association of Bangalore (SWAB) 3-0 at the D Y Patil Auditorium, Nerul near here today.

Abhijit Kulkarni and Amol Karhadkar won singles matches, then Kulkarni/Gordon D'Costa teamed up to defeat the Bangalore pair of R Kaushik/R Satya in four games.

SJAM 'A' had defeated SJAM 'B', while Bangalore scored over Delhi in the team semi-finals.

The inter-zonal cricket league matches for the J K Bose Trophy were washed out due to rain.

A symposium on Beijing Olympics 2008 will be held at C K Nayudu Hall, CCI, tomorrow, where noted sportspersons Ashwini Nachappa, Ashok Pandit, Uday Pawar and administrators Kishen Narsi, Jay Kowli will be the speakers.

A golf putting event will be held at BPGC, Chembur. These competitions are part of the SJFI All India Convention, Events&Awards.
