Pune, Jun 6 (UNI) Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal, Sikkim, south Orissa, Bihar and south Gujarat.
Heavy to very heavy rains are likely to occur in Konkan, Goa, south Madhya Maharashtra, coastal Andhra Pradesh, coastal Karnataka, Kerala, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep. Heavy to very heavy rains are also likely to occur at a few places in north Orissa, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chattisgarh, north Gujarat, north Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Telangana, Rayalseema, interior Karnataka and at isolated places in Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.
In the regions where the Southwest Monsoon is yet to set in, the day temperatures were appreciably above normal in Kashmir and were above normal in Madhya Pradesh and in some parts of Konkan, Goa, Chattisgarh, Telangana and north interior Karnataka. They were markedly below normal in Sikkim, Gangetic West Bengal, Uttarakhand, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh and in some parts of Punjab. They were appreciably below normal in west Uttar Pradesh and in some parts of east Uttar Pradesh. They were below normal in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Bihar and Rajasthan.
Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Orissa.
