Portfolios allocated in MP
Bhopal, Jun 6 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan this evening allocated portfolios to four new ministers and made minor modifications in portfolios of others.
Mr Jagannath Singh, who was sworn in as cabinet minister last evening, was bestowed the responsibility of School Education.
Minister of State Ramdayal Ahirwar was given Home and Environment Department, MoS Nirmala Bhuria would look after Public Health and Family Welfare besides Medical Education, while MoS Narayan Prasad Kabirpanthi would take care of Public Works.
Energy and Medical Education Minister Gaurishankar Shejwar was also bestowed the responsibility of Public Health and Family Welfare while Commercial Tax and Public Sector Undertakings Minister Babulal Gaur was also given the Bhopal Gas Tragedy Relief and Rehabilitation Department.
Public Health and the Bhopal Gas Tragedy Relief departments were earlier under Mr Ajay Vishnoi who resigned recently. Higher Education and School Education were under Mr Lakshman Singh Gaud who was killed in a recent road mishap. Higher Education was handed over to Water Resource and Public Grievances Redressal Minister Anup Mishra.
Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Rustam Singh would also handle Biodiversity and Biotechnology department that were hitherto under Dr Shejwar.
The Chief Minister continued to retain General Administration, Aviation and other departments that were not allocated to any minister.
