Man murdered over land dispute
Nashik, Jun 6 (UNI) A 59-year-old man was allegelly murdered over a land dispute here, police said today.
According to police sources, as per a complaint filed by Rohini Namdev Nagre (35), resident of Indiranagar, Nashik, her husband Namdev Madhav Nagre (59), was murdered by Ratan Namdev Shinde and Matabai Ratan Shinde, residents of Kolsewadi, Kalyan, over a land dispute.
Namdev Nagre and Ratan Shinde had some dispute over a plot in Ghoti, owned by Nagre. Shinde had started contruction work at the disputed plot, 5-6 months back, following which Shinde allegedly started threatening Nagre and his another wife Latabai with their life.
On May 29, when Nagre left his home for some work, Shinde and his aide allegedly attacked him with sharp weapons and threw his body near Meergaon village on Sinnaur-Shirdi-Road in sinnaur taluka.
A missing complaint was filed with Ambad police regarding Nagre's disappearance, after which a decomposed body was found in Meergaon area here, which was identified to be Nagre's body, by his relatives yesterday.
A case has been filed under sections 302, 201, 120(b) and 34 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), against the accused.
