Mamata rules out alliance with BJP and Cong in civic poll

Kolkata, Jun 06 (UNI) Barring the SUCI, Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee today made it clear that it would keep equi-distance from both Congress and BJP in the coming civic bodies polls.

'' There is no question of any alliance with the BJP and Congress and will maintain equi-distance when the state goes to polls in 13 civic bodies before Parliament election by year-end or early next year, '' she told newspersons here.

She said, '' The Trinamool Congress will contest alone but we have left few seats to the SUCI and PDSF in the civic polls. There is no question of alliance with the Congress which has put extra burden on the common people and this is our farm and final decision. '' She also demanded reintroduction of manual voting system like ballot papers and ballot boxes when the state goes to polls in civic bodies before Parliament election by year-end or early next year.
