Mumbai, Jun 5 (UNI) Recording more than cent per cent growth quarter on quarter basis during the first quarter of 2008 in India, SAP today announced the availability of its latest offering SAP Business ByDesign in India.
SAP Business ByDesign was the most complete and adaptable on demand business software solution, targeted exclusively to mid-market companies ranging from 100 to 500 companies. These companies would include growing companies that typically have not invested in integrated business solutions before.
Fundamentally different from competitive mid-market solutions, the new SAP product would support faster time to value and dramatically minimise customers overall. It costs by reducing the need for user training, hardware investments, service, support and IT staffing.
Talking to newsmen here SAP Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Asia Pacific, Japan, Stephen Watts hoped to see volume growth of the new product in India from the first quarter of 2009. The Company was currently on famaliraisation phase after the product had been transformed to meet local needs, he added.
SAP would look in for hosting partners for the new product which would start at a recommended price of USD 149 per user, per month with a minimum of 25 users to be licensed per customer. The cost included software, infrastructure, services and support.
He said through a unique try before you buy approach, prospective customers would be able to evaluate SAP business bydesign, configure it to their own unique business processes and then convert this initial effort into a productive system upon purchase.
SAP was bullish on its offer to the small and medium enterprise in India. With 43 per cent software revenue growth in the first quarter of current fiscal, SAP India, has reported the highest growth in SME software revenues of a single region for SAP worldwide. SAP India enjoyed a 27 per cent market share in revenue terms during calendar year 20-07 in India enterprise applications, he said.
