Rs 400 cr reconstruction plan for Arunachal gets Cabinet nod
New Delhi, June 5 (UNI) The Union Cabinet today approved a Rs 399.20 crore plan for Arunachal Pradesh, to be implemented over two years, for reconstructing infrastructure damaged by natural calamities in 2005.
''The Government will provide Rs 359.28 crore as Additional Central Assistance in the form of grant, to be released in two installments of Rs 179.64 crore each,'' Information and Broadcasting Minister Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi told reporters.
He said the State will raise the loan component of Rs 39.92 crore on its own.
''This decision will enable the State to undertake long-term reconstruction of the damaged infrastructure,'' he said.
