Puducherry,Jun 5 (UNI) Puducherry Students Congress President Samraj today charged some senior officals of the adminsitration with stalling Chief Minister N Rangasamy's efforts to start a government medical college in the union territory.
Speaking at a Students Congress workers meeting here, Mr Samraj said the medical college would help 150 poor students to study medicine helping the people of the union territory to get quality medical facilities for which Mr Rangasamy was taking efforts. However, some senior officials 'joining hands with evil forces' were blocking his efforts. The Students Congress would stand by the Chief Minister and take efforts for setting up the college.
In his address,Students Congress National Secretary Vishal Sinha called upon the workers to strive hard to strengthen the party.
Though a Central Medical College was already functioning, there was a need for one more institution in the State Sector. The Students Congress would take up the matter with the Centre.
PCC President A V Subramanian who addressed the gathering, called up on all wings of the Congress Party to propagate the schemes of the Union and State Governments among the people.
